I’m opening up a platform here for anyone who would like to suggest a Giant lens to be featured in a future post at the Giant Squid Community Showcase.

This will be our little Squidtop secret for now, okay?

Tell me which lens you’d like to see showcased and give me a quick reason why.  The lens can be one of your own (if you’re a Giant) or a Giant lens that you like.  To get this started, and to see where it goes, I’ll accept one suggestion per customer.

Can’t promise that every lens suggested will be featured but I’d sure like to take a look at what you’ve got.

My Best Panini Recipe lens hit the number 1 spot for its category.  Yeah!

And I wanted you to be the first to know that I will be the Squid Citizen Mentor in charge of taking it to the next level ,where I’ll be working to answer questions from lensmasters who want to become Giant Squids.  The official team and program hasn’t been announced yet but in the meantime if you know of any potential Giants please send them over to the lens.

I’ve been neglecting my Squidiary because I’ve been so busy at my job as a Giant Squid Organizer looking for, and finding, the next wave of Giant Squid Lensmasters.   Well, that and the fact that my youngest graduated high school last week and I had my mother-in-law fly in for the happy occasion. 

I did have a chance today to build a lens for the Superhero Project at Squidoo.  It’s a tribute to my favorite superheroes, the Giant Squids, and a check point for all the Giant Squid Hopefuls to let them know what we are looking for.   It’s called What makes a Giant Squid Lensmaster a Superhero and I hope you’ll check it out.

I also finally got around to updating Cabaret Squidoo with a fabulous recipe lens that features the best peach cobbler recipe and also my namesake lens, Robin.

I promise to try harder to keep my squidiary up to date in the future!

Yesterday was a busy busy day for me but I made sure that I got a quick post up about Squidtop at the Giant Squid Community Showcase.  I really love this place and I think it’s a great opportunity for all lensmasters, especially the Giant Squids.

And why was I so busy yesterday?  Believe it or not, I started yet another blog.  To be honest, this one should have been my first.  I have so many gardening articles from my days at Garden and Hearth that I can’t believe I didn’t think of doing this a lot sooner.  Some of those articles have already been turned into lenses but others were just laying around gathering dust so I decided to make a new home for them at  Fresh From Your Garden.  I’m not thrilled with the layout yet and I’ll probably end up changing the theme but please take a look and let me know what you think of the place so far.

I also added a post to Cabaret Squidoo.  This one is about my zucchini recipes lens.

As I was browsing AOL yesterday I came across an article about Oprah starting a new diet and I thought to myself, Who really cares?  Well, if you know me well enough by now you know that whenever I get a funny idea like that, I feel compelled to make a lens about it.  This one seemed perfect for the Hey Monkeybrain co-brand and so What Won’t Oprah Eat was born.

There are also two new posts at the Giant Squid Community Showcase that you should see.  One explores different ways of using the Write/Text module and the other presents this week’s winner in the Choose Your Favorite Giant Squid Lens competition.

And last but not least if you like pancakes and waffles, you need to visit Cabaret Squidoo because I’ve got a real treat for you there!

Yesterday I didn’t get very much accomplished as far as my Squidooing goes because I had tickets to see Duran Duran!  If you’ve ever taken a look at my list of Squidoo lenses, you know how much I LOVE THE MUSIC OF THE 80’s!   I never got the opportunity to see them back in the 80’s so I was really excited to get the chance last night.  The show was spectacular and they sounded every bit as good as they did back in the day.  The arena where I saw them was awesome too!  (My first time there even though the place is practically in my backyard.)

As you can probably guess, I will be making a lens to mark the occasion!  Stay tuned… I’ll post the link here once it’s done.
